The Problem With Weight Loss Products and Programs

Files under weight loss | Posted by admin

Many available weight loss products and programs offer quick solutions to weight loss. It is a fact that it is a very hard task to achieve the desired weight. Before you get into a weight loss program, it is important that you check the cost of the whole session. Most of these programs offer high cost registration fees and may pressure you to buy pills and special supplements that will help you to have a physically fit body.

Over 50 million of Americans are engaged in weight loss programs, but only 5 percent sustain the weight they have worked off. Many people think that losing weight is easy; they may encounter the struggles of working out and dieting in the course of their weight loss programs. Many are still finding the most effective way to get rid of the excess weight in their body not realizing the fact that there is no such thing as a quick solution to get rid of the excess weight in a short time.

One solution that is seen by experts to be the answer to weight problems is the change of the lifestyle of a person. Eating healthier foods and having an active lifestyle only proves that it is the most effective way to lose weight.

Beware of programs that offer a quick solution to weight loss such as lose a stone in a few weeks. This is just not possible, as you will lose mainly water. Programs like this are not the answer to weight loss, as any weight that you lose will be quickly gained as soon as you stop the program.

Most experts will tell you that you should aim to lose no more than a pound or two per week. Start by cutting out soda drinks, crisps and fast food. Walk to work instead of going by car or bus and soon the pounds will start dropping away.

Products that are sold over the counter to help you in your weight problems and even weight loss programs that enables you to have a regular exercise everyday can cost more money. If you want to engage in these kinds of programs, it is important that you must first get the enough information on how good the products or programs are that made others look good and achieve a physically fit body.

Although weight loss products and programs have the capability to help you lose the unwanted weight, it is important that you must select the program that can truly guide and help you in your quest for a physically fit body. To have a healthy diet could be the most recommendable thing that one must do to help the overall health aspects.

Can a company charge my credit card without my authority?
Ok… so here's what happend. I decided to start this weight loss program that I've done before at a new center. This new center charged me for being a first time client. I later found out that I could go back to the other center and only pay a restart fee rather than a new customer fee. I cancelled my plan with the new center (it was within the 3 day grace period). Problem is that the company had already given me their products and I already started using them. When I went back to cancel my contract, they never asked for these products so I kept them and continued to use them. Today, I got a call that they would charge those products $103 to my credit card on their own if I did not answer by Mon. Can they do this? Especially if the 3 day period was on Thurs and it is now Sat.. Is it there fault for not taking the products back before?

Well, if you are keeping the products they do have a right to request money from you, however they would need some sort of contact that you signed that shows you verified the credit card number to be used. You may want to call your credit card company and explain this to them, so they can advise you and also in the same manner you are notifying them of a possible unauthorized charge.

cancel the card right now… or contact your card holder and tell them to block that transaction, as you didn't authorize it. however I'm sure in a contract or something you signed, it may be in small print that you'd be charged… i dunno… best bet would be to cancel the card and have them reissue you a new one.

Read your contract…I would be willing to bet that the contract you signed stated that they will cancel the MEMBERSHIP but will charge you for the products that you took.

The reason that they didn't ask for the products back is that they probably, due to health regulations, cannot sell them and that is why your credit card got charged.

    Re-read your contract.

If you kept their products you will have to pay for them. If they can't charge your credit card for them they will probably sue you for the amount. If they win the case, which they probably will, you will have to pay their attorney fees and court costs. Could get very expensive.

This is all explained in the terms and conditions of your contract.

You did read and understand them before you signed right?

your best bet is to review what you signed for & use the contractual verbiage against them.

After they charge your credit card, call your credit card company after its been charge & dispute the item. You'll get a chargeback (credit) from the credit card & the other company will need to provide proof to your credit card that you authorized it. What you signed is what the company will use against you.

Essentially you gave them authority to charge your card when you signed up for the program.

And come on, you KNOW you kept their products. YOU KNOW you should've given the products back when you cancelled the contract. Should they have asked for them back? Yes. But that doesn't change the fact that you kept them, used them, and need to pay for them. Not paying for them is the same as stealing them. Stop fighting it and do the right thing.

It's your fault for keeping the products and using them. Just because they didn't ask doesn't mean they allowed you to keep them.
They can do it, and its perfectly legal.
